Milk Does a Body Good!

“It is difficult to see the picture when you are inside the frame.”

There is nothing to fear but fear itself, so why do you fear living? What is it you are afraid of? The Mothers of this generation put themselves, their lifestyles and their children in a little frame and expect to grow and blossom without any difficulties of it all fitting within that perimeter. Not communicating properly with your children, spending quality time with them, and educating them with something as simple as washing their hands after using the restroom.

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord. Ephesians 6:4 NLT

You don't eat broccoli, you don't eat carrots, you don't eat roast. All which are full of vitamins, protein, and enhance the internal organs in your body. Well you eat carbs (which turn into sugar), fried foods (which clog your arteries), drink soda pop (which deteriates your bones, is full of sugar that turns into fat, and decays the teeth). These are just a few of the things, we think in the long run will keep us healthy and in good working condition.

So after three generations, our children are at risk being born with diabetes, heart diseases, and low bone density.

Or your child is always sick with a cold and runny nose; which again starts with proper rest, healthy diet, and a stable lifestyle. You can't keep your children up to 1 am and get them up at 6 am, give them a donut and Coca-Cola for breakfast and expect them to have an attention span while learning.

Think how your lifestyle is and remember because you can't see it inside doesn't mean all is well on the outside!

Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord. Fathers, do not provoke or irritate or fret your children [do not be hard on them or harass them], lest they become discouraged and sullen and morose and feel inferior and frustrated. [Do not break their spirit.] Colossians 3:20,21 AMP

Can I "Love" You This Much?

Negative words tear people down and exposes them.  "Every prudent man deals with knowledge, but a [self-confident] fool exposes and flaunts his folly." (Proverbs 13:16 AMPC)  (Folly biblical definition: 2a. : criminally or tragically foolish actions or conduct. b. obsolete : evil, wickedness especially : lewd behavior.) Confronting someone is different than badgering someone! Badgering means to repeatedly pester.  "By pride and insolence comes only contention, but with well-advised is skillful and Godly Wisdom." (Proverbs 13:10 AMPC)  When we lovingly and patiently correct others the response will be peaceful, loving and accepting also; however, words spoken in anger and with the intention to hurt, comes from a malicious and wicked heart. Hurtful words repeatedly play over in a person's mind (like a broken record) of how they don't measure up to the World's standards; therefore putting that person in the forefront of a sure target for Sat...

God is in "Control"!

The students who marched boldly, stepped out and reached out to gain the attention of our leaders. It is a sad situation and the act of violence that truly needs to cease! As I briefly listened, the stories were not just with our schools, but in our communities, our homes, and our jobs. We are in harms way every where we go. It's not the guns, or is it poverty, wealth or the situation our lives have turned to; it's deeper than that! It comes back to the fear, the anger, and the hate that is warring in our spirit and soul to ignite the violence and use weapons that destroy and kill.  Picture Courtesy of my nephew Dere While listening to the protestors, I heard anger, fear, and exhaustion in their voices also; because they too want change that moves all of us to a state of "Peace" and "Love"!  Not so long ago, we heard, "Black lives matter"; and now it's back to addressing the numerous and continuous shootings in the schools.  The struggl...

It's About Time!

You are given $100; however, you cannot keep it. You have to give it away to a charity or a person. Who would you give it to and why?  This is a question that the students I was substituting for was given to journal. Almost all of the students argued that $100 was not enough money to give to anybody. "Hmmmm", I said. You can do quite a bit with $100  - - - - - -  Our Sunday School class did it with pennies! "How", the students asked. All of the Sunday school classes were informed that it doesn't take much to give to others and if they would begin to bring in pennies, we would be able to give back to those in need. The first year, they gathered enough pennies to provide a Turkey dinner and the roaster to cook it in for a family of five. In addition to providing clothing for a child at Christmas. Each year the giving of pennies grew; whereas, the giving to others in the community grew as well. So if they can do it with pennies, you can do it with $100. Wh...
