You're not the ONLY one!

Why do we do that? You know, act like we are the most mistreated people in the world! If you stop to have a “brief” conversation with someone, in 3 minutes of listening to them, they have told you ALL about their troubles; and how it is destroying their lives.
Yes, I am on a roll; because, I too, caught myself feeling blue – and for what? For no apparent reason other than Satan putting thoughts into my mind of what is not right in my life; whereas, basically, something didn't go the way I wanted it to, or expected it to, so I immediately went into a “feel sorry” mode! No one has thrown me under the bus other than my selfish desires.
If things don't go our way, some have temper tantrums (yes even as adults), many force the issue and hurt others along that way with no conscious of how and who they hurt, and most sit around magnifying their misery by meditating on it to the point of either medicating themselves to numb the pain; or using another means of pleasure that can and will lead to addictions. As II Corinthians 10:3-6 (NLT) says:
We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. And after you have become fully obedient, we will punish everyone who remains disobedient.

Our thoughts come into our hearts and minds because first we allow them, and second Satan is a deceiver of the brethren. If we do not know or understand why and where these negative thoughts come from, then we can't cast them down. So first we must recognize that negative thoughts of harming ourselves, putting ourselves down, acting out of impulse, or wanting to overspend when we know we do not have the money is not God putting those thoughts in our heads; they are from Satan. As it says in the above scripture in II Corinthians, take every thought captive unto the obedience of Christ”. We defeat those thoughts with scripture that is sharper than any two-edged sword. It slays Satan and heals us!
Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. (Hebrews 4:11-13 NKJV)

NOTHING will free you from those negative thoughts any of us encounter like the Bible! God's Word is power and life! It is also freedom! Freedom from doubt, worry, drugs, comparing ourselves to others, feeling not good enough, and the most destructive emotion that Satan uses against ALL of us is “FEAR”! Fear is paralyzing and hath torment!

“There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection].” (I John 4:18 AMPC)
So keep your hearts and minds stayed on God and He will keep you in perfect “Peace”, where no worries or doubt can creep in!

In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah:

“We have a strong city;
God will appoint salvation for walls and bulwarks.
Open the gates,
That the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in.
You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
Trust in the Lord forever,
For in YAH, the Lord, is everlasting strength.

For He brings down those who dwell on high,
The lofty city;
He lays it low,
He lays it low to the ground,
He brings it down to the dust.
The foot shall tread it down—
The feet of the poor
And the steps of the needy.”

(Isaiah 26:1-6 NKJV)

Illusion?

When my son was going into the eighth grade, the school invited those who wanted to attend, to an open house. They served desserts and punch while the parents and students mingled with each other and the teachers. I was in the lobby talking with other parents that came by, when my son came up to me with two of his friends following him, and said, “Mom what would you do if I got a tattoo when I get older”? I didn’t even ponder the thought, nor did I become agitated at the question. My question to him was, “What do you want to do in life? Do you want to be a doctor, a lawyer ~ what professional would you like to become”?  He responded, “I don’t know yet. I haven’t thought about it”.  I asked him, “If you went to a doctor and he had several tattoos on his body, would you go to that doctor”? His response was "no", as if to say, "I never thought about it that way"! I responded, “Don’t do anything in life you can’t undo”. He asked in bewilderment, “What do

Do You REALLY Know?

I was in JC Penney a few years ago just browsing and this woman passed me calling a little girl who was in the shoe section to come on, she was ready to leave. The little girl quickly grabbed a specific pair of shoes and walked over to her, pleading for the shoes. Well being social, I commented they were very cute shoes and would look good on her. The Grandmother proceeded with, “She has more than enough shoes at home and although they are cute, we are not buying them”. The little girl begged for a short while and realized she was not going to win this battle, so the shoes went back to the shoe department. As the little girl was leaving, her Grandmother began telling me how she provides for the child quite often and her daughter (the child's Mother) do not have a good relationship. She badly berated her daughter to the point I said in my mind, “God should I pray for this woman”; because from listening to her story, I felt the relationship could not continue is this manner, an

Abiding in the Vine!

I am the vine you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing (John 15:5 NIV).   I do not own the rights to this photo  In the natural you are not able to change anyone who has an addiction. The worst thing we can do is to constantly talk about it to others. Satan I do not own the rights to this photo  has a stronghold on their thinking. Give it to God and let Him, in His power, restore your loved ones; and do not talk about it again. Once you pray, you are saying, God I am giving you permission to take care of my loved one~ and you are putting your Trust in God to do what only He can do anyway!  So get on your knees and pray and do not speak of what your loved one is going through anymore, but speak of what God is doing in their lives and how He is changing them from Glory to Glory!   And Don’t forget to “Thank Him”! In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots.
