Mind Your Business!

Me and my best friend were at Dunkin Donuts in Tennessee just last week and a young woman was in there on the cell phone. She could have been texting, surfing, or even chatting with someone ~ we were not sure; however, my friend said, "She is so engrossed with being on that phone, she is not aware of anybody around her". That is so true! We as a human race are replacing interaction with each other with technology.

I know when I was substitute teaching, so many of the teenagers could not even walk down the hall with their head up, because they were texting someone on the phone. It is detrimental to their learning and their success! UNLESS, they are using it in a positive way.

Technology is so amazing how we are able to reach people world wide! But, like she said, we are so oblivious to those around us, we overlook how important it is to interact with others, especially our family.
We use it to date, bully others, argue, and even send inappropriate pictures that can ruin a person's reputation for life!

It's like the Hatfield and McCoys. Constantly looking for a reason to engage in conflict. By the way we went to the dinner party in Tennesse and had so much fun. Look closely at the picture and I'm the shooter and my best friend is the drinker! Haha! Anyway ~ Those things that have consumed all of our time, is also hurting our families and ourselves.

It's not any fun telling others about behaviors that we all engage in more than we should or is it any of my business how you maintain your home! But, it is my business to encourage a behavior worthy of praise from God that you are being a woman of virtue!

Who can find a virtuous and capable wife?
    She is more precious than rubies.
11 Her husband can trust her,
    and she will greatly enrich his life.
12 She brings him good, not harm,
    all the days of her life.
13 She finds wool and flax
    and busily spins it.
14 She is like a merchant’s ship,
    bringing her food from afar.
15 She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household
    and plan the day’s work for her servant girls.
16 She goes to inspect a field and buys it;
    with her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17 She is energetic and strong,
    a hard worker.
18 She makes sure her dealings are profitable;
    her lamp burns late into the night.
19 Her hands are busy spinning thread,
    her fingers twisting fiber.
20 She extends a helping hand to the poor
    and opens her arms to the needy.
21 She has no fear of winter for her household,
    for everyone has warm[b] clothes.
22 She makes her own bedspreads.
    She dresses in fine linen and purple gowns.
23 Her husband is well known at the city gates,
    where he sits with the other civic leaders.
24 She makes belted linen garments
    and sashes to sell to the merchants.
25 She is clothed with strength and dignity,
    and she laughs without fear of the future.
26 When she speaks, her words are wise,
    and she gives instructions with kindness.
27 She carefully watches everything in her household
    and suffers nothing from laziness.
28 Her children stand and bless her.
    Her husband praises her:
29 “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world,
    but you surpass them all!”
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;
    but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.
31 Reward her for all she has done.
    Let her deeds publicly declare her praise. Proverbs 31:10-31 NLT

# 7 Objectives (n) - something your working towards Increase! ---Hmmm! Increase in what? I'm not sure what you mean by increase! Increase in finances maybe ~ or increase in knowledge ~ or perhaps you mean increase in healthy friendships!  All of these are attainable; however, they are not accomplished without work on our part to obtain them ~ and keep them. Maybe you want to increase your household! Uh Oh! (Big Smile) ~ VUALA ~ here's your baby! Wow that would be wonderful if it worked out that way, but we know better huh?  How many of you have really sat down with a goal in mind and established a step by step plan to reach that goal? I have never done that, I have always flown by the seat of my pants and they would always work out! NOW? It's not that easy. I have had to think things through more, pray about them and believe they will happen!  What I mean by that is, I became independent of Christ (sure of my own works), instead of dependent (leaning totally ...

In Dark Times, RUN to Jesus!

If you view God through how and what your earthly parents instilled in you, whether it was right or wrong; no wonder so many do not come to God ~ without one plea!   Let me explain! If your Father or Mother were mean, controlling, did not keep a promise they made, promiscuous or did not show their love towards you; whereas, instead of seeking Jesus, you WILL seek the opposite of who Jesus is! Especially when we are hurt, depressed, or feeling unloved! Once again, God is not harsh, hard or sharp and slow to anger! “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good—not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but ...
Appetizer # 2 -Mental Attitude ~ a state of feeling or mind about a person or situation WOW! I know that I have had some bad attitudes in situations that were not necessary to even entertain. I can recall one of my many times I developed an attitude before I allowed myself a good attitude about going to a community dance in my hometown. I just knew it was going to be boring and the people that were going to be there, I had nothing in common with (or I thought),  many of them there were not my age; and I did not have anything nice to wear, I needed to make sure my children were sleep first, and on and on and on - -  "Geez" I kept coming up with excuse, after excuse, after excuse!! My negative attitude about going to this dance could have kept me - - -- well, what many of us pass up - - - it's called "living"; IF, I would not have regrouped and decided to go anyway.  I found a babysitter, obviously found something to wear with a pair of my many fabulous sho...
