What's In It for Me?

I know as a person, I perform better when I’m encouraged, praised, and shown love by the actions of others! It puts a pep in my step, a smile on my face, and nothing will get in the way of that good feeling that comes over me when I receive all of that goodness and Godliness!

So much goodness, that we pass it on to others along the way. We see a little lady going across the street and are so filled with joy, we sprint to help her get there safe ~ or, a Mother who is trying to quiet her child down, and has three other ones standing by that are just as upset as the baby, but know they need to help Mom out by being quiet, so your heart just reaches out to them and the baby, and you give them each a bag of pretzels – with Mother’s approval of course! Or, you are driving down the road, and someone cuts in front of you and you have to slam the breaks on to keep from hitting them. You are so full of God’s love and joy, you give them a big smile and say a prayer so that they will get to their destiny free of frustration and harm. This is an example of how Christians were at one time!

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO OUR CHRISTAN VALUES?

We call our children names; and want them to be good. Or we demand an apology when someone cuts in front of us on the highway; however, just a few minutes ago, we cut in front of someone else down the road and felt we had the right do so ~ And didn’t even apologize. And, we forget about our elders who didn’t mind working four jobs a day to put food on the table for our sake. Yet, we ignore them all together~ as if they bother us or are in our way!

WE ARE SPIRITUALLY STARVED!

Or as Luke 12:1-5 states, hypocrites! It is important to have your spiritual food daily, so that you are being nourished within; and it shows without!

Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another,
Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, saying: “Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.

“I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.  But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. Luke 12:1-5 NIV

Do You REALLY Know?

I was in JC Penney a few years ago just browsing and this woman passed me calling a little girl who was in the shoe section to come on, she was ready to leave. The little girl quickly grabbed a specific pair of shoes and walked over to her, pleading for the shoes. Well being social, I commented they were very cute shoes and would look good on her. The Grandmother proceeded with, “She has more than enough shoes at home and although they are cute, we are not buying them”. The little girl begged for a short while and realized she was not going to win this battle, so the shoes went back to the shoe department. As the little girl was leaving, her Grandmother began telling me how she provides for the child quite often and her daughter (the child's Mother) do not have a good relationship. She badly berated her daughter to the point I said in my mind, “God should I pray for this woman”; because from listening to her story, I felt the relationship could not continue is this manner, an...

Can I "Love" You This Much?

Negative words tear people down and exposes them.  "Every prudent man deals with knowledge, but a [self-confident] fool exposes and flaunts his folly." (Proverbs 13:16 AMPC)  (Folly biblical definition: 2a. : criminally or tragically foolish actions or conduct. b. obsolete : evil, wickedness especially : lewd behavior.) Confronting someone is different than badgering someone! Badgering means to repeatedly pester.  "By pride and insolence comes only contention, but with well-advised is skillful and Godly Wisdom." (Proverbs 13:10 AMPC)  When we lovingly and patiently correct others the response will be peaceful, loving and accepting also; however, words spoken in anger and with the intention to hurt, comes from a malicious and wicked heart. Hurtful words repeatedly play over in a person's mind (like a broken record) of how they don't measure up to the World's standards; therefore putting that person in the forefront of a sure target for Sat...

SILENCE - does no one Justice!

I posted this September 25, 2016 on social media. I have added some things; but it still holds weight and value! God put this on my heart to repost, and almost 4 years later many are seeing what Dr. King meant in the 60’s! I am speaking of those who call themselves Christians and Pastors who are silent and have been for centuries! Jesus says in John 15:17-18 AMPC: 17 This is what I command you: that you love one another. 18 If the world hates you, know that it hated Me before it hated you. Jesus also said: J ohn 15:10-16 AMPC If you keep My commandments [if you continue to obey My instructions], you will abide in My love  and  live on in it, just as I have obeyed My Father's commandments and live on in His love. I have told you these things, that My joy  and  delight may be in you, and that your joy  and  gladness may be of full measure  and  complete  and  overflowing. This is My commandment: that you love one another [jus...
